Budget Status
April 9: Legislature approved budget, but not revenue and reconciliation legislation needed to fund it.
May 14 - 16: Legislature met in special session and approved revenue and reconciliation legislation, averting $500 million in automatic cuts
June: Dep't of Budget  and Management issues fiscal year 2014 budget instructions to agencies
July 1:  Start of new fiscal year 2013.
August: State agencies begin submitting budget requests to Department of Budget and Management for fiscal year 2014 
 
 
MBTPI signs letter calling on state leaders to resolve budget crisis and fully fund the services that make Maryland a great place.  See letter here.
